Keith Urban and Miranda Lambert Dominate 2017 CMA Awards Nominations

The two singers are nominated in five categories each, three of which are Music Video of the Year, Single of the Year and Song of the Year.

AceShowbiz - Nominations for the 51st Country Music Association Awards have been announced. Country duo Brothers Osborne, along with Dustin Lynch and "American Idol" alum Lauren Alaina, made the announcement on the Labor Day episode of "Good Morning America".

Keith Urban and Miranda Lambert lead the list with five nods each, competing against each other in three categories: Music Video of the Year, Single of the Year and Song of the Year. Miranda is once again nominated in Female Vocalist of the Year, a category she has won six consecutive times between 2010 and 2015.

Trailing behind with four nominations is Little Big Town. The group helps Taylor Swift earn her first nomination at the event in three years. She is credited as the songwriter for the group's hit single "Better Man". Taylor was last nominated in 2014 for Female Vocalist of the Year.

A number of rising performers receive their first nominations at the event this year. Jon Pardi scores two nods, while Luke Combs, Brett Young, Jason Isbell, Lauren Alaina and LoCash Cowboys are nominated in one category each.

The 2017 CMA Awards will broadcast live from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on November 8. Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood are set to host the show again for the tenth time in a row. The event will air on ABC at 8 P.M. EST.
