The K-Pop group makes it into the records after winning five awards at MAMA, including Album of the Year and Artist of the Year Awards.

AceShowbiz - Congratulations! EXO has received an international recognition for their achievements. The K-Pop group has been listed in the latest edition of "The Guinness World Records" for winning the most daesangs (grand prize) at Mnet Asian Music Awards or MAMA.

At the 2016 Mnet Asian Music Awards, the boyband won Album of the Year for "EX'ACT". It was their fifth daesang at the annual awards ceremony, following previous Albums of the Year in 2013, 2014 and 2015, as well as Artist of the Year in 2014. They matched the feat of Big Bang, who won Song of the Year in 2007 and 2015 and Artist of the Year in 2008, 2012 and 2015.

EXO recently wrapped up promotions for their hit song "Ko Ko Bop". Co-written by the group's members Chen, Chanyeol and Baekhyun, the EDM-infused song successfully reigns on iTunes chart in 36 countries. Meanwhile, EXO's latest album "The War" has sold over a million copies since it was released on July 19.

The group is currently gearing up for the release of their repackaged album "The War: The Power of Music". They recently shared a teaser for the highly-anticipated effort, which is set to arrive on September 5. The album will feature two new tracks in addition to the title track and the original nine tracks.

Last month, Baekhyun teased about the project. "Truthfully, we have a repackaged album on the way. There's no reason to hide this... 'Ko Ko Bop' is exactly what is is, an eve or a prequel," he said. "The title of out new album is 'The War'. You can see it as us enjoying the eve before the fight, then marching off to the real war. Right now, this is the tip of the iceberg. When we heard the concept, we thought, 'That's SM for you.' Their planning blew my mind."
