Chris Brown, Ellen DeGeneres, T.I., Alex Rodriguez also join the relief efforts to aid the victims affected by the storm that hit Houston recently.

AceShowbiz - Celebrities announce support to help relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey that hit Houston recently. Kris Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner will donate half a million dollars in response to Kevin Hart's challenge.

The comedian started an initiative to raise fund to help the Hurricane Harvey victims and urged fellow celebrities to make donations. "@KevinHart4real My daughters and I accept your challenge. We will be donating $500,000 to @redcross & @salvationarmyus today #houstonstrong…We have been watching the heartbreaking footage of the catastrophic flooding in Houston. Our hearts go out to the people of Texas," Kris responded.

Khloe chimed in, "Houston we are praying for you!! #HurricaneHarvey has left catastrophic effects. Join me in donating to @salvationarmyUS at https://HELPSALVATIONARMY.org or text STORM to 51555" Kim posted similar messages and added, "I tagged the organizations we are donating to if you want more information click on their pages and donate! #HurricaneHarvey #HoustonStrong."

Meanwhile, Beyonce Knowles is working with her pastor to help the victims. "My heart goes out to my hometown, Houston, and I remain in constant prayer for those affected and for the rescuers who have been so brave and determined to do so much to help," she told The Houston Chronicle. "I am working closely with my team at BeyGOOD as well as my pastor [Rudy Rasmus at St. John's in Houston] to implement a plan to help as many as we can." She added on Instagram, "Texas you are in my prayers."

Jennifer Lopez teams up with her boyfriend Alex Rodriguez to donate $50,000. They will give $25,000 each. "Our hearts are just breaking for all the families that are displaced," she said in the video while sitting on A-Rod's lap. "It's just devastating and we just want to do our part to help."

"It's our opportunity to come together as one to help out all the great families in distress down in Houston," A-Rod said. "We're praying for you and God bless all of you." J.Lo added, "At the end of the day, we're all one. We have to pull together when others are in need in this country and everywhere in the world." She urged her fans to give "whatever you can afford." "Do as much as you can," she said. "We're gonna do as much as we can through this whole process."

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson also makes $25,000 donation. "Anytime our country gets hit hard with a natural disaster...that kind of stuff has a way of bringing us together as a country. Regardless of race and politics, we all want to step up to the plate do everything we can to help out our brothers and sisters and families in need," he said. To people in Houston, he sent this message, "You gotta stay strong and you gotta hold on to faith."

Chris Brown also answers Kevin Hart's call. He pledges $100,000 donation. "Hey, what's up, big bro Kevin Hart?" he said in a video message. "I accept your challenge. We need to come together." He added in the caption, "[love emoji] AND IM SKEPTICAL ABOUT RED CROSS SO MY DONATION WILL GO TO THE PEOPLE!"

T.I., DJ Khaled, Ellen DeGeneres, Chris Young and Jared Leto offered their support to Houston as well. "@kevinhart4real salute for responding with a challenge that WE ALL NEED TO ANSWER," T.I. said, vowing to to donate $25,000. Meanwhile, Leto tweeted, "Thinking about you in Texas - a place close to our hearts and home to friends and family. Sending thoughts and prayers."
