AceShowbiz - After so much teasing, Taylor Swift has finally released her first solo single in nearly three years. Titled "Look What You Made Me Do", the song has savage lyrics which are presumably aimed at Kanye West. On the bop track, Taylor basically tells everyone that she has completely changed.
"I don't like your little games/ I don't like your tilted stage," she sings on the vengeful song. "The role you made me play: of the fool/ No, I don't like you/ The world moves on/ Another day another drama, drama/ But not for me, not for me/ All I think about is karma."
Towards the end of the track, she says, "The old Taylor can't come to the phone right now. Why? 'Cause she's dead." This seems to be an apparent reference to her feud with the "Fade" rapper. The chorus, which is a repetition of "Look what you made me do," seemingly indicates that she isn't ready to forgive the person who made her feel wronged.
"Look What You Made Me Do" serves as the first single off Taylor's upcoming sixth studio album "Reputation". Judging from the album title and the new song, it looks like the songstress plans to bite back at people who have damaged her reputation in the past few years, including Kanye, Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry and her ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris. Laced with fifteen tracks, "Reputation" will arrive on November 10.
Taylor's highly-publicized beef with Kanye sparked last year when the spitter's song "Famous" included the lines "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/ Why? I made that b***h famous." Taylor denounced the lyrics when the song and its video were released. A few months later, Kanye's wife Kim leaked the video and audio of Taylor and Kanye's phone conversation, confirming that Taylor approved of the controversial lyrics.
While Taylor's new music will likely include a diss track aimed at Kim, it seems like Kanye won't let it go unnoticed. Kanye is working hard on his new album and planning to hit back at the "Shake It Off" hitmaker on the effort, which is said to arrive later this year. "Kanye is ready to battle with Taylor if she takes shots at Kim in her new album," a source previously revealed. "Kanye is locked and loaded if Taylor dares come after his wife Kim in her new song. Kanye feels that he is a creative genius and can drop a rebuttal track in hours of Taylor releasing anything."
"Kanye is extremely protective of his wife, especially after the rocky year they both had. It's understandable, between Yeezy's breakdown and Kim's robbery," the source added. "But right now they're all good, and he doesn't want that to change. They are in a good, happy, healthy place and he will be pissed if Taylor does anything to interrupt or bother his family. Kanye was kind, nice and professional when he asked permission about Taylor, but if he is provoked, he will not be so respectful next time."
