A rep for SM Entertainment has confirmed that the group will release a repackaged version of their latest album 'The War' in September.

AceShowbiz - EXO's fans were going wild after the group posted a cryptic message on Twitter on Sunday, August 20. "Eclipse begins on August 21, 2017 09:06:43 AM (PDT)/ Madras, OR," so it read. While it's basically a true information, it was quite weird for the boyband's official account to tweet about it. Fans took the hint quickly, and predicted that EXO would make a potential comeback soon.

Fans were ensured that the mysterious message was a hint at the group's comeback as eclipse has always been a trivial thing in their music videos. An image of eclipse previously appeared in EXO's debut video for "MAMA", as well as clips for "Angel", "Black Pearl", and their most recent hit single "Ko Ko Bop".

Fortunately, fans can now stop speculating, as a rep for SM Entertainment has revealed that EXO will be releasing a repackaged album of "The War" in September. "EXO is planning on releasing a repackaged album in early September," the rep shared. "We will announce the exact schedule when it is decided."

Last month, EXO's Baekhyun teased about the project. "Truthfully, we have a repackaged album on the way. There's no reason to hide this... 'Ko Ko Bop' is exactly what it is, an eve or a prequel," he said. "The title of out new album is 'The War'. You can see it as us enjoying the eve before the fight, then marching off to the real war. Right now, this is the tip of the iceberg. When we heard the concept, we thought, 'That's SM for you.' Their planning blew my mind."

EXO recently wrapped up promotions for "Ko Ko Bop". Co-written by the group's members Chen, Chanyeol and Baekhyun, the EDM-infused song successfully reigns on iTunes chart in 36 countries. Meanwhile, EXO's latest album "The War" has sold over a million copies since it was released on July 19.
