Ric Flair Out of Surgery After Medically Induced Coma: 'Still Long Road Ahead'

New report says that the WWE Hall of Famer's surgery was successful and he is now resting with his family by his side while they are waiting to meet with doctors.

AceShowbiz - Wrestling icon Ric Flair a.k.a. the Nature Boy is out of non-heart-related surgery after he was put in a medically induced coma. Melinda Morris Zanoni, the CEO of Legacy Talent LLC, took to Twitter to share the news that the surgery went well.

"Ric had surgery today (not[heart emoji]related)am happy 2report it was a success," she tweeted. "Still a long road ahead so plz keep (pray emoji) 4Ric Charlotte Megan David&Wendy."

TMZ reports that the WWE Hall of Famer is now resting with his family by his side. They are reportedly waiting to meet with doctors.

The 68-year-old pro wrestler was taken to a hospital on Monday morning, August 14 to undergo a surgery as he was reportedly suffering from a heart-related issue. Zanoni tweeted, "Are u a Fan/Friend of Ric Flair?If so, we need prayers & positive energy 4 our Living Legend as he is dealing w/some tough medical issues."

Upon hearing the news, a number of current and former WWE stars took to their respective social media accounts to send their well-wishes. Bayley tweeted, "Thinking of @RicFlairNatrBoy and the family. So much. (heart emoji)." Jim Ross added, "One more time….nothing but positive thoughts to the greatest ever...@RicFlairNatrBoy. #GetWellNaitch#WeLoveYou."

Kurt Angel dubbed Flair as his "inspiration." He continued, "U taught me so much, especially how to 'give' to the biz, and not 'take' from it. Praying 4 U!" Scott Hall, meanwhile, wrote, "Prayers up for @RicFlairNatrBoy . Kick out on two and 1/2 like you always did."

Rory Karpf, the director of the upcoming ESPN documentary "30 for 30: NATURE BOY", also asked for prayers for Flair. "Please pray for my friend Ric Flair and keep him in your thoughts," he wrote. "30 for 30: NATURE BOY" is set to be released on November 7.
