The pop star thanks the judge and jury 'for their careful consideration' after the jury unanimously decided that the Colorado-based DJ did assault and batter her.

AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift scored another victory in a groping trial against Colorado DJ David Mueller. After six days in court and four hours of deliberation, an eight-member jury unanimously decided on Monday, August 14 that Mueller did assault and batter her.

Swift is awarded $1. In addition, the jury found her mother Andrea and a member of her management team, Frank Bell, not liable for tortious interference with contract.

Swift, who looked emotional when her legal representative Douglas Baldridge and Mueller's attorney Gabriel McFarland delivered their closing arguments, smiled as the decision was read.

In a statement released following the jury's decision, she said, "I want to thank Judge William J. Martinez and the jury for their careful consideration. My attorneys Doug Baldridge, Danielle Foley, Jay Schaudies and Katie Wright for fighting for me and anyone who feels silenced by a sexual assault, and especially anyone who offered their support throughout this four-year ordeal and two-year long trial process."

"I acknowledge the privilege that I benefit from in life, in society and in my ability to shoulder the enormous cost of defending myself in a trial like this," the pop star added. "My hope is to help those whose voices should also be heard. Therefore, I will be making donations in the near future to multiple organizations that help sexual assault victims defend themselves."

As reported before, Mueller was fired by his radio station after Swift reported that he groped her during a photo session in 2013. Mueller sued Swift, her mother Andrea and her management team in 2015, accusing them of slander and getting him fired. Swift then countersued him, seeking $1 million "to let people know you can say no and that grabbing a woman's rear is an assault."
