'Riverdale': Meet Veronica's Bad Boy Ex Nick St. Clair
TV

'The Good Wife' star Graham Phillips will portray Veronica's old classmate, who is described as 'a wolf in sheep's clothing' with 'dark desires.'

AceShowbiz - Things don't look good for Archie and Veronica. When "Riverdale" returns for its second season this fall, fans will be introduced to a new character who will put the couple's newly-blossomed love to test.

Entertainment Weekly reveals that the series has tapped Graham Phillips ("The Good Wife", "Secrets and Lies") to play the character in two episodes of the upcoming season. "Nick is an old classmate of Veronica's from New York, and despite his parent-pleasing veneer, he is a wolf in sheep's clothing: a hard-partying Lothario with dark desires and an unchecked sense of privilege," EP Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa speaks of the character.

He explains that Nick's arrival will "threaten" Veronica's relationship with Archie. Aguirre-Sacara further adds, "[His arrival] may even put some of our characters at risk."

In the comics, Nick, who briefly dated Veronica back in New York, gets into a fight with Archie, but loses. He later inevitably leaves Riverdale and is sent away to military school.

"Riverdale" is slated to return for season 2 on October 11 at 8 P.M. on The CW.
