AceShowbiz - After the recent leak of "Game of Thrones" episode, Starz is the latest network which has to deal with online piracy. As we're approaching the culmination of "Power" season 4, the final three episodes of the season have been leaked online.
The final episodes of the most popular show on the cable channel were accessed via the network's press portal and posted on social media. The leaker filmed it as he streamed the episodes via a cracked iPhone and then posted the video on his Facebook page. Starz quickly took down its press portal.
A spokesperson for Starz says in a statement to address the leak, "The final three episodes of 'Power's' fourth season were leaked online due to a breach of the press screening room. This seems to be a case of password sharing that resulted in homemade videos of the episodes which were taped off a TV screen and posted online. STARZ has begun forensic investigations and will take legal action against the responsible parties."
The drama starring and executive produced by %c50 Cent% airs Sundays at 9 P.M.
Recently, the latest episode of "Game of Thrones" titled "The Spoils of War" was leaked online three days before its debut airing Sunday night, August 6 on HBO, but it's not part of the massive hack attacking the network. Despite the leak, the episode still attracted a lot of viewers and broke record as the most watched episode of the show during its debut airing, with 10.2 million viewers.
