AceShowbiz - Sinead O'Connor has raised concern after posting a heartbreaking video on Facebook detailing her struggle with mental illness. The 50-year-old Irish singer revealed she's currently living in a New Jersey motel where the video was filmed.

Throughout the approximately-12-minute footage, she was crying as she admitted that she was suicidal and was alone, because people were afraid of her who sometimes got so angry. "I'm all by myself. And there's absolutely nobody in my life except my doctor, my psychiatrist, the sweetest man on earth, who says I'm his hero, and that's about the only thing keeping me alive at the moment ... and that's kind of pathetic," she tearfully said.

The "Nothing Compares 2 U" hitmaker, who said she made the video to let people know that she's merely "one of millions" of people who suffer from mental illness, added, "I want everyone to know what it's like, that's why I'm making this video."

"Mental illness, it's like drugs, it doesn't give a s**t who you are, and equally what's worse, it's the stigma, it doesn't give a s**t who you are," she continued. "And suddenly all the people that are supposed to be loving you and taking care of you are treating you like s**t."

Her fans soon flooded the comment section with messages expressing their concerns. "Very brave Sinead , thank you for being real and reminding us to be love. I hope your kids come get you . I feel for you. I know heartbreak and mental illness," one person wrote.

Another commented, "Oh Sinead. I feel your pain. I suffer from mental illness as well and understand every day is a fight we must battle on the inside. I lost my brother to suicide 6 months ago and it has completely devastated my life. You are a hero to me as you have survived so much."

Some others tried to reach out to her and offered to help her. Some Facebook users, meanwhile, urged Sinead's children and exes to start taking care of her instead of pushing her away.
