TMZ claims that hours after they tried to dig up information about Scaramucci and Guilfoyle's dating rumor, the White House announced Scaramucci's resignation as communications director.

AceShowbiz - Anthony Scaramucci was fired as White House communications director just 10 days after he was hired by President Donald Trump reportedly because of his obscenity-laden tirade at New Yorker reporter Ryan Lizza. But now a new report suggests that Scaramucci's alleged affair with Fox News anchor Kimberly Guilfoyle was related to his resignation.
According to TMZ, a source tipped them about Scaramucci and Guilfoyle's relationship on Monday morning, July 31. They had been seen together in public a number of times over the past year and he reportedly took her to private dinners several times in and around the NYC area. Guilfoyle was also at the private dinner with President Trump on July 26, which guest list was leaked by journalists and triggered Scaramucci's rant.
While Guilfoyle's name didn't come up on the guest list at the time, Scaramucci reportedly worried that any mention of her at the dinner would raise suspicion about the nature of their relationship.
The site says that they reached out to the White House on Monday morning about the alleged affair. Thirty minutes later, they heard from a source close to Scaramucci that the two were just friends, like they had been for years. Guilfoyle additionally said through a Fox News spokesperson that she's known Scaramucci for years through her work at Fox News and they are "good friends."
Two hours later, news broke that Scaramucci was out of the White House. While this could be just a coincidence, TMZ claims that his exit was related to his alleged affair with Guilfoyle. Monday was General Kelly's first day as White House Chief of Staff and he and POTUS reportedly didn't want another White House drama involving Scaramucci on Kelly's first day.
Before Scaramucci's resignation, it was reported that his wife Deidre Ball had filed for divorce when she was nine months pregnant. She reportedly divorced him because of his "naked political ambition" to join the Trump administration.
