The actor portrays Oliver, a 24-year-old academic who develops a passionate relationship with a 17-year-old named Elio in the drama based on Andre Aciman's novel of the same name.

AceShowbiz - "Call Me by Your Name" has a rare 100|percent| rating on Rotten Tomatoes after premiering to critical acclaim at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. And now the first trailer for the Armie Hammer and Timothee Chalamet-starring romance has been released by Sony Pictures.

The over-2-minute trailer introduces Chalamet as a 17-year-old named Elio. Living in Italy during the 1980s, he meets Oliver (Hammer), a 24-year-old academic who has come to stay at his parents' villa, and a passionate relationship develops between them.

The trailer sees Elio and Oliver getting intimate with female companions of their own at a party. It then jumps to some scenes where the two share some alone time, with Oliver asking Elio if he knows about important things, implying love.

Oliver seems to pique his interest in Elio after the latter replies he doesn't know about the matter at all. They are seen at the end of the trailer lying together as Oliver tells Elio, "Call me by your name, and I'll call you by mine."

Directed by Luca Guadagnino from a script written by James Ivory, "Call Me by Your Name" is set to be released in the U.S. on November 24. Based on Andre Aciman's novel of the same name, the coming-of-age, drama film also stars Michael Stuhlbarg and Amira Casar as Elio's parents.
