Jessica Chastain Finally Teases Her Villainous Role in 'X-Men: Dark Phoenix'

Confirming that she will have a villainous role in the upcoming movie, the Oscar nominee says she's gonna make co-star James McAvoy 'cry so hard' when she arrives on set in Montreal.

AceShowbiz - Filming on "X-Men: Dark Phoenix" is currently underway in Montreal. And Jessica Chastain has just taken to her Instagram account to say that she will be joining the cast on the filming set, finally confirming her previously-rumored villainous role in the upcoming movie.

Alongside a couple of photos featuring her and "The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby" co-star James McAvoy, Chastain asks him, "Hey @jamesmcavoyrealdeal you ready for me up in Montreal?" She then promises she will make the actor, who is reprising his role as Professor X in the upcoming "X-Men" movie, "cry so hard."

"X-Men: Dark Phoenix" reportedly follows Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) whose powers are amplified when she comes in contact with a cosmic energy called the Phoenix Force. It is believed Chastain will take on the role of Lilandra, an alien empress who leads the quest to imprison and execute Dark Phoenix.

Written and directed by Simon Kinberg, the thirteenth installment of the "X-Men" film series is set for a November 2, 2018 release in U.S. theaters. Aside from McAvoy and Turner, the returning cast members include Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Evan Peters.
