After previously hinting that he would start his mandatory military service after filming drama 'Suspicious Partner', the actor confirmed that he would begin his service next month.

AceShowbiz - Fans will have to bid farewell to Ji Chang Wook soon. "The K2" star, who turned 30 earlier this month, has confirmed that he will be enlisting to the military on August 14 after completing the filming of drama "Suspicious Partner".

Chang Wook's agency, Glorious Entertainment, announces that the "Smile, Donghae" actor will serve as an active duty soldier. "Ji Chang Wook will enter the training center in Cheorwon County of Gangwon Province on August 14, and he will work hard to fulfill his military duty once he completes basic military training," the agency says in a statement.

Chang Wook previously hinted that he would be enlisting soon during an appearance on SBS Power FM's "Cultwo Show" in May. "I'll have to go to the army first," he said. "I'll be enlisting after this drama ['Suspicious Partner'], and I think I'll continue performing after that."

The "Warrior Baek Dong Soo" actor will hold a concert for his fans on July 22. "2017 was a special year for Ji Chang Wook. He debuted in 2008 and has been working non-stop for the past ten years to mature and grow and become a representative actor of Korea," his rep announced last month. "He wants to share the record of the past decade through more than just the screen."

"As a man living in the Republic of Korea, he will be enlisting in the military this year," the rep continued. "Before his enlistment, he wants to repay the love of his fans through this concert and give them an experience they won't forget."
