AceShowbiz - Selma Blair joins the upcoming televised remake of the 1988 classic black comedy movie "Heathers". The 45-year-old actress lands a recurring role on the new series expected to premiere on Paramount Network in 2018.
She will play a stripper and teases her role on Instagram, sharing a picture of her wearing scantily-clad outfit and holding a cigarette. "Do I look like step Mother Theresa?" the "Mothers and Daughters" star wrote in the caption.
Her character is named Jade, "described as a stripper menthol smoker who is rough around the edges, but with a bit of glamour to her. She's the gold-digging stepmother to Heather Duke (Brendan Scannell), who is simply biding her time until her 82-year-old husband kicks the bucket."
The show is set in the present day, revolving around Veronica Sawyer (Grace Victoria Cox) as she deals with a very different but equally vicious group of Heathers. Other cast members include James Scully, Melanie Field and Jasmine Mathews. It will also have original star Shannen Doherty as a guest star.
