AceShowbiz - Michael Jackson's dad, Joe Jackson, is back home safe following a car accident near the Las Vegas strip on Friday, June 30. The 88-year-old was taken to hospital after the black Jaguar her was traveling in T-boned a red SUV, TMZ has reported.
Eyewitnesses have told the news outlet that Joe suffered chest pains after the accident. He sat down wincing in pain after walking into a Panda Express next to the accident scene. After paramedics arrived, he was taken by ambulance to a hospital.
Shortly after the news broke, a statement was released on Joe's Twitter account. "Mr. Jackson was in a minor car accident, but nothing happened to him," so it read. "Not a scratch and he is safe and healthy. #teamJackson"

Joe also updated his website with a post about the incident. "Earlier today while in the Car with my assistant we got involved in an accident as they drove in front of us," he shared, before saying that he's out of "it without a scratch."
However, his assistant, who was driving, "had to be taken to the emergency because the airbag in the car broke his thumb. We are leaving and going back out to enjoy our lunch at home. All is well. Thank God."
