AceShowbiz - Amid his extensive "Illuminate World Tour", Shawn Mendes has finally released the music video for his latest single "There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back". The clip is the singer's first music video in eight months. Starring actress Ellie Bamber as Shawn's love interest, the clip sees the pair traveling around the world hand-in-hand.
Shawn and Ellie show their undeniable chemistry onscreen as the actress plays a dutiful girlfriend who accompanies her singer lover on world tour. After they run past all sorts of eye-popping landscapes, the two share a kiss at the end of the clip. With the spark they create in the romantic scenes, fans can't help but wonder if they are dating in real life.
Fans are left heartbroken by Shawn after watching the visuals. "The girl is so lucky. Who else here is wishing to be that girl? Lol," a fan comments below the video, while another writes, "I'm so jealous with that girl. Why Shawn? Why you do that to me????" Another heartbroken fan writes, "Who else couldn't breath during this video? It makes me so much jealous that I couldn't handle... I am not watching this video one more time."
"There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back" was released in April, a week before Shawn embarked on his tour. "The minute I wrote this song I knew I wanted to get it out before my tour started, to give fans something new and fresh in addition to everything from 'Illuminate'," the singer previously said of the track.
Aside from his tour, Shawn is currently working on new album. "We're trying to plan everything so that there's time to make music, too. I'll be writing and recording a lot on the road. I want to make sure I have a good amount of time to create the next album," he added.
