AceShowbiz - EXO's Kai and f(x)'s Krystal are no longer a couple. It was revealed that the two had broken up after a year of relationship. SM Entertainment confirmed the news on Thursday, June 1. "It's true that they've decided to part ways," the agency said in a short statement.
A source close to the couple previously shared that they broke up due to their busy schedules. "It's true Kai and Krystal have broken up. They couldn't see each other very often because of their busy schedules," the source said. "I don't know the exact reason, but they seem to have agreed to focus on their work."
Fans were shocked at the news since the pair were known to have an amazing chemistry. They expressed their sadness in an article on Naver. "I was rooting for them, it's sad to see them break up. Find strength and I hope that they shine on their individual paths," a fan wrote. "No matter much they match, idols lose a lot more than they gain from these relationships," another commented.
However, other fans didn't feel as sad since breaking up is totally normal for young couples. "Well they're both still young, it's completely understandable to date and break up," one of them commented.
