The 26-year-old singer officially withdraws from the group after she was caught hiding her pregnancy.

AceShowbiz - Crayon Pop will remain as a 4-member group, with So Yul officially leaving the group after she was accused of faking her panic disorder in order to hide her pregnancy. Chrome Entertainment, the group's agency, confirmed her withdrawal on Thursday, May 31.

It has been decided that the group will not be looking for a replacement member. "Crayon Pop will be promoting as a four-member group without So Yul. There are no plans to have a replacement member. After So Yul left the group, they continue to promote as four members," the agency's source shared.

"We are discussing contract renewals with Ellin, Geummi, Choa and Way after their contracts expired," the source added. "Rather than focusing on Crayon Pop's comeback, we are focusing on the members' individual activities."

Fans feel that Crayon Pop could have been more successful if the group didn't take a break due to So Yul's alleged fake health condition. "The members are the victims. They thought she had a panic disorder the whole time but still supported her and even went to her wedding only to find out she was pregnant the whole time," a fan commented in an article on Naver. "So Yul was way too much of a problem to the group," another added.

So Yul welcomed her first child with singer Moon Hee Jun a few weeks ago. She only revealed her pregnancy days before giving birth, leading people to believe that her sudden marriage to the former H.O.T. member was a shotgun wedding. Prior to their wedding in February, So Yul announced her indefinite hiatus due to panic disorder. The couple received a lot of criticisms for denying the existence of their child in order to save their image.
