AceShowbiz - People were wondering why Erika Jayne a.k.a. Erika Girardi didn't participate in any group dances with other eliminated contestants in "Dancing with the Stars" season 24 finale on Monday, May 22. Unlike people's accusation which said that she was being stuck-up, it has been revealed that she has been hospitalized in an L.A. hospital after undergoing a procedure for an upper body tear she sustained during the competition.
"She hurt herself while doing the show but never talked about it because she didn't want sympathy. But it's the reason she didn't dance in the finale," an insider tells E! News. According to the source, "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star is having the injury fixed this weekend. "She just went in. She'll probably be there a few days," the source adds.
On Friday morning, May 26, Erika took to Instagram Story to share photos of her on the hospital bed. Erika joked in one of the photos as she wrote, "The hospital lighting is amazing." Another photo saw the star wearing a surgical head covering. She captioned the shot, "Almost time."
On the same day, Erika had a more cordial exchange with Chrissy Teigen on Twitter. The 31-year-old model joked her age was "Icy Hot patch wearer" and the reality star replied, "Same."

Erika and her dancing partner Gleb Savchenko were the fourth pair eliminated on the ABC dancing competition series in mid-April. Although they failed to take home the mirrorball trophy, "Good Morning America" gifted the blonde star a cute unicorn mirrorball trophy.
