AceShowbiz - Kim Heechul of Super Junior posted a lengthy message on Instagram on Thursday, May 17 after he was said to be the matchmaker for AOA's Choa and her alleged boyfriend, Lee Suk Jin. Choa reportedly took a 2-month break in order to hide her romance with the young CEO.
In his post, Heechul clarified that he had nothing to do with any dating rumors that mentioned his name, including Choa's. "To clarify, I have had nothing to do with any of the dating rumors my name has come up in over the years," he stated.
Heechul also talked about how both the media and his own friends had used him due to his wide connection. He wrote, "Since a while back, I've had the nicknames 'King of Connections in Entertainment', 'Connection Rich', and so on. I didn't mind. It was like saying I had a good personality."
The "Bonamana" singer added that he didn't like to be seen as a matchmaker. "However, when people around me asked to be introduced to a girl, I would say, 'You're trash. Do you think I'm a matchmaker?' and delete the person's number. Until this day, I still get messages like, 'Heechul. B's contract is ending, so can you get me her contact info?' and 'Can you introduce me to C?', and every time, I block those people," he confessed.
At the end of his post, Heechul revealed the saddest thing about being involved in other celebrities' dating rumors. "Lastly, the saddest thing is, 'Why do I always get involved in other people's dating rumors?' If it were my own dating rumor, I'd say things like, 'Everyone, please cheer for our love and such and such..' or 'I should've told you in advance, I'm sorry,' et cetera. But the reality is so sad," he shared.
Shortly after Heechul expressed his frustration, Choa took to Instagram to apologize for "harming people who are unrelated to the issue." She stated she was sorry to have made people concerned. "I am deeply sorry to those unrelated people that have been harmed," she wrote. "If articles about me have caused concern, I apologize."
Choa concluded her apology by asking people to stop involving other people to reports about her. "Please do not bother other people anymore by connecting them to me because of my break," she said.
