AceShowbiz - Congratulations are in order for %cJim Parsons% and his longtime partner, Todd Spiewak. A rep for "The Big Bang Theory" actor confirmed to Page Six that Parsons and Spiewak tied the knot on Saturday night, May 13 at the Rainbow Room in Manhattan, New York City. No further details were given regarding the ceremony.
In 2015, Parsons told James Lipton on "Inside the Actors Studio" that he met Spiewak on a blind date in 2002 at a karaoke bar, where the graphic designer sang %cCher%'s "I Found Someone". The couple celebrated their 14th anniversary last November as the 44-year-old actor paid tribute to his boyfriend in a sweet Instagram post.
"I met this guy (the one with the mic) 14 years ago today and it was the best thing that ever happened to me, no contest," so Parsons captioned a photo that showed Spiewak singing. "One of his greatest gifts to me is that he no longer takes me to sing karaoke. Also, I believe this was a selfie with an actual camera as our phones couldn't do that back then hahaha!"
Parsons quietly came out in 2012, after a profile in the New York Times described him as "gay and in a 10-year relationship." He explained that he never mentioned his sexuality in interviews until a reporter "just point-blank asked" about his appearance on Broadway in "The Normal Heart".
" 'Was working on 'The Normal Heart' meaningful to you as a gay man?' And I was like, 'Well, yeah. Yeah.' And what a wonderful...I can't tell you what a wonderful thing that was, what a gift he gave me with one question. It was suddenly out there and official," he shared.
