Does Taika Waititi Hint at Natalie Portman's Return to 'Thor: Ragnarok'?

Director Taika Waititi has posted a cryptic image on his Instagram account which sparks speculation that Portman may return in the third 'Thor' movie.

AceShowbiz - Fans already know that "Thor: Ragnarok" will bring back Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston, but there hasn't been any word about Natalie Portman's return for the third installment of the "Thor" movie series. Director Taika Waititi, however, has made a cryptic Instagram post which may suggest that Portman, who played Jane Foster in both "Thor" and "Thor: The Dark World", will return to the third movie.

Fans were buzzing when Waititi posted a weird side-by-side picture of two characters played by Portman in the past. The left part of the photo was taken from her movie "Leon: The Professional", featuring Portman's character carrying a potted plant. The right part showed Portman's pregnant character in 2000's "Where the Heart is". Along with the picture, Waititi wrote a caption which read, "Heed the signs. #Ragnarok."

The picture leads people to think that Portman will reprise her role as Jane in "Ragnarok". Considering that many fans are still curious about the aftermath of Thor and Jane's relationship, it's possible that the movie will bring Portman back. Some assume that Jane will merely make a cameo, as Thor (Hemsworth) will have a new love interest in the movie, that is Valkyrie played by Tessa Thompson. There hasn't been any official announcement about the matter, though.

Hiddleston will reprise his role as Loki in "Ragnarok", while Mark Ruffalo will return as Hulk. Cate Blanchett will play villain Hela and Jeff Goldblum will portray Grandmaster. It has been confirmed that Benedict Cumberbatch will make a cameo as Doctor Strange, but how Strange will be involved in the movie is still kept under wraps.

"Thor: Ragnarok" will be the third movie set in Marvel Cinematic Universe this year, scheduled after "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" and "Spider-Man: Homecoming". The "Thor" threequel is set to be released on November 3.
