Jonathan Todd Schwartz receives prison sentence after admitting to embezzling million of dollars from his singer client.

AceShowbiz - Alanis Morissette won legal battle against her ex-manager Jonathan Todd Schwartz. The manager was sentenced to six years behind bars after pleading guilty to embezzling million of dollars from his client. He was charged of wire fraud and filing a false tax return.
Schwartz stole nearly $5 million from the singer over the course of seven years, admitting to have gambling addiction. During her testimony, Morisette revealed that Schwartz told her she was being disrespectful whenever she asked about the details of her financials.
Besides jail sentence, the manager has to spend three years of supervised release that will involve outpatient addiction treatment, regular drug testing and mental health counseling. He is also ordered to pay $8.6 million in restitution. He is due to start his sentencing on July 11.
