The Oscar winning actor and his wife were reportedly turned away from Rihanna's Met Gala after-party in New York City on Monday night.

AceShowbiz - Eddie Redmayne and his wife Hannah Bagshawe were reportedly rejected entry to Rihanna's exclusive Met Gala after-party at 1OAK in New York City. Rita Ora, Diplo, Katy Perry, Kate Hudson, Mary J. Blige and Halle Berry managed to join the party, but the couple wasn't as lucky.

Eddie and Hannah chose Rihanna's party among all after-parties in New York, but they had to go home before they even stepped into the club. "The club was incredibly overcrowded so the door staff were having to turn lots of people away on the night," a source told Daily Mail. After being rejected by the doorman, the "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" actor quickly left the scene.

In one of the photos obtained by Daily Mail, Eddie was captured talking on the phone, looking furious. The crowd outside the club was surprised to see the 35-year-old actor walking down the street although Eddie didn't give them a second look.

Reports suggested that Hannah tried entering the club again 30 minutes later with pal Tom Sturridge. However, her attempt failed once again as she was seen leaving the club with Tom shortly after.

A few hours earlier, Eddie and Hannah appeared together at Met Gala's red carpet. "The Theory of Everything" star looked dapper in blue tuxedo paired with a black bow tie. His publicist wife looked graceful in sleeveless purple gown paired with a unique necklace. The two seemed happy and confident as they posed for the cameras.
