'Marvel's Jessica Jones' Potential Character Breakdown Suggests Surprising New Recruits
TV

An alleged list of descriptions for four new characters in coded names to be added on the series has surfaced online and it may hint at some interesting new characters, including Dr. Karl Malus.

AceShowbiz - That Hashtag Show (via MCU Exchange) is back at it again with revealing a character breakdown and this time around it is for the upcoming season two of Netflix's "Marvel's Jessica Jones". The potential character breakdown mentions four characters in coded names and the site has made guesses as for which characters the coded names refer to, revealing some very interesting names.

The first coded description is Dr. Kirby, a series regular with one year deal. The character is described as 60s, male, open ethnicity, scientist and freethinker. The site speculates that Dr. Kirby refers to villainous Dr. Karl Malus, considering the fact that casting calls usually use the real first letter of the character's name. The site further assumes that Dr. Karl Malus will be a natural option to be a lead doctor at IGH, the group that is responsible for making the serum that gives Nuke, presumably also Jessica, superpowers. He also fits the freethinker description.

The second description is under coded name Presley, a fractional series regular. Presley is described as a male in late 30s, African American, intelligent, driven and self-assured. Fans assume Presley is Paul Denning a.k.a. Paladin. First appearing in "Daredevil" #150, the character is depicted as "a womanizing merc with a very strange code of honor that sometimes prevents him from finishing his job." He has shown his self-assured side throughout the Marvel Universe, making the character a suspect for the role of Presley.

Next is a role named Oliver, a series regular. Oliver is a male between the age of 34-38, Latino, artistic, paternal, smart, scruffy and hip. According to the site, Oliver may refer to Otis Johnson. The name emerges due to his connection to Misty Knight and Colleen Wing in the comics.

The last coded description is Ingrid, a series regular. Ingrid is an attractive and edgy female in early-mid 30s. Her height is described between 5'8 - 5'11 and she has a dark hair. Ingrid is further depicted as having a history of living on the streets, educated as a nurse, street-wise and attracted to men and women. Fans are having a difficulty to figure out which character Ingrid may refer to, before coming out with the name of Ian Soo. In the recent run of Patsy Walker, A.K.A. Hellcat!, a bisexual character named Ian Soo was introduced. Another potential option for Ingrid is "Daredevil" baddie Typhoid Mary.

All of these fan speculations are not confirmed by far. "Marvel's Jessica Jones" is currently filming the second season in New York City. Starring Krysten Ritter as the titular heroine, the 13-episode series is scheduled to be released in mid-2017.
