Executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa addresses rumor that says a second death is looming in the show's first season.

AceShowbiz - Jason Blossom will not be the only casualty in the freshman run of "Riverdale". After a press screening of the show's next two episodes on Tuesday, April 11, executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa addressed the rumor that a second death is looming.

"Yes, there is truth to that rumor," said Aguirre-Sacasa. The rumor began swirling during WonderCon in late March. He went on teasing, "If the rumored death happens, it would go to set up season 2," without saying if any of the actors in attendance could be the second victim.

The press screening was attended by cast members KJ Apa (Archie Andrews), Cole Sprouse (Jughead Jones), Luke Perry (Fred Andrews) and Skeet Ulrich (F.P. Jones).

Aguirre-Sacasa also teased the return of pilot director Lee Toland Krieger for the season finale, which he claimed to be one of the show's "biggest set piece by far." He gushed, "It has all the different elements that are great about the show combined into one, meaning there's music in it, there's romance, there's suspense and horror," adding, "It's kind of like the ultimate 'Riverdale' episode."

"Riverdale" airs Thursdays at 9 P.M. ET on The CW.
