The 'Family Affair' songstress teams up with the 39-year-old rapper on the inspirational track off her upcoming album, 'Strength of a Woman'.

AceShowbiz - Mary J. Blige's 13th studio album,"Strength of a Woman", will arrive soon, and she got some "powerful collaborators" with her. Kanye West is one of them. Blige is apparently a fan of the rapper, so she decided to ask him to do a collab with her on her new single called "Love Yourself". The track premiered on New York's Hot 97 radio station on Thursday, March 30.

Previously, Blige talked about the single in an interview. " 'Love Yourself' is hardcore hip-hop soul. It's me talking to myself when I was in it. 'Don't give up. Love yourself.' When you hear the words, you'll hear it..," she said before adding, "I'm a fan of Kanye. I've always loved Kanye. I've always wanted to work with Kanye. I reached out to his manager, got a number on him, began to text him back and forth about how I really wanted him on 'Love Yourself'."

The "No More Drama" hitmaker injects some inspiration about self-love in the lyrics. "Oh, you gotta love yourself, oh yeah/ If you wanna be with someone else/ You gotta feed yourself/ Before you feed someone else/ You gotta stay open, and don't be foolish/ 'Cause everybody don't mean you well/ You gotta love yourself/ You gotta love yourself/ Before you love somebody else," Blige passionately sings on the hook.

Meanwhile, Yeezy puts his best verses on the track. "I decided not to use my color as a handicap/ He a designer, artist, producer, and he rap," he spits. "Came from the Chi and wow, look what the f**k they found/ A young legend comin' to shut the summer down."

Following the release of "Love Yourself", Blige took to Instagram to announce her upcoming album track list along with the cover art. She wrote in the caption, "Thank you for sharing your strength with me. This is my tracklisting for #STRENGTHOFAWOMAN, revealed. This is one of my most powerful albums, featuring some powerful collaborators. I'm excited to share it with you on 4.28."

Besides West, other collaborators in the album are Quavo, Missy Elliott, Prince Charlez and Kaytranada.

Prior to this, Blige has released a single "Thick of It". She claimed that the song is "personal" and "painful." She said, "This song is so personal it's almost painful to let out. I don't hold back, though. It's not who I am and there's no way I am going to start changing now. We all deal with love and the emotions that we get tangled up in, and we got to survive, grow and remain honest to our best selves."
