AceShowbiz - %cBrianna Hildebrand%'s Negasonic Teenage Warhead might not have many scenes in "Deadpool", but her appearance stole the audience's attention thanks to her stoic and angsty nature. The teenage female mutant could maintain her apathetic personality throughout the story, even when she faced Deadpool's (%cRyan Reynolds%) ridiculousness.
In the upcoming "Deadpool 2", Negasonic Teenage Warhead will again make an appearance and Hildebrand said that her character will be "a lot cooler". "I've not yet actually read the script," said Hildebrand during an interview with Screenrant at SXSW in Austin. She added, "But I do think she will be a lot cooler, based on the wardrobe ideas and stuff. I'm very excited."
The 20-year-old actress explained that she had looked at the concept art. "Just some ideas, nothing that's concrete or anything," she said. "But I think it's cool that she's grown and matured and she still has so much of this essence of a punk kid," she added.
When Hildebrand was asked about why Negasonic Teenage Warhead earned positive reactions from fans, she reasoned that people might be as angsty as Negasonic at some point in their lives. "I felt so close to Negasonic in that she reminded me so much of myself. Like young, teenage/tweenage, angsty like pissed off Brianna is who she reminded me of," said Hildebrand.
She went on saying, "It was just like, 'Oh! She's so cute. I get her, you know?' So yeah. That was super exciting to see that people liked her too because it felt like people liked me, or the part of me in there somewhere."
"Deadpool 2" is set to hit U.S. theaters on March 2, 2018. %cStefan Kapicic% (Colossus) and %cKaran Soni% (Dopinder the taxi driver) will return alongside Reynolds and Hildebrand for the second film.
