The show will be directed by Justin Hurwitz and feature a 100-piece symphony orchestra, choir and jazz band performing along with the film's original vocal recordings from Gosling, Stone and Legend.

AceShowbiz - After taking movie theaters and the Oscars, "La La Land" is going to tackle the concert stage. Lionsgate has announced that "La La Land In Concert: A Live-to-Film Celebration" will come to Los Angeles' Hollywood Bowl on Memorial Day weekend on May 26 and 27.

The musical will feature a 100-piece symphony orchestra, choir and jazz band performing along with the film's original vocal recordings from Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone and John Legend. The show will be conducted by Academy Award-winning composer Justin Hurwitz.

"The process is just beginning," said Hurwitz of preparing the show. "We're figuring out how to handle visually and musically the various music elements in the movie, and it's a lot of fun brainstorming ideas and solutions. What is exciting is... to be able to really feature the musicians and show exactly what they're doing."

Meanwhile, director Damien Gazelle said, "For me, one of the most thrilling and fulfilling parts of making 'La La Land' was scoring the film to a live orchestra, a hundred phenomenal local musicians playing in real-time to the technicolor images, bringing Justin's compositions to vivid life. I couldn't be more excited to share that experience with audiences this summer, let alone in a setting as epic and as quintessentially 'L.A.' as the Hollywood Bowl."

According to Lionsgate press release, the show's premiere will include pre-show photo opportunities and fireworks. They has also announced that "La La Land" outfit and "vintage Hollywood-inspired dress" is encouraged to wear at the event.

Following the Memorial Day shows in L.A., the live concerts will kick off in cities including Atlanta, Seattle, Portland, San Diego, San Antonio, Dallas, Indianapolis, Nashville, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Denver and Washington. Tickets will go on sale on Friday at 3 P.M. ET at Ticketmaster.
