AceShowbiz - Katy Perry was among celebrities who attended the 2017 iHeartRadio Music Awards that took place at The Forum in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 5. The "Chained to the Rhythm" hitmaker looked stunning as she posed on the red carpet at the award show.
It marked her first public appearance following her split from actor Orlando Bloom. The 32-year-old singer showed off her blonde pixie do at the annual event. She sported a strapless jumpsuit which flaunted her cleavage. She couldn't stop smiling while posing for photographers.
Perry had time to chat with radio host Elvis Duran on the red carpet. After the radio host remarked on scrutiny of her new look, the "California Gurls" singer joked, "Well yeah, if you're going this extreme it should, hello! I'm trying to get more attention, obviously. You can just grow it back."
"Honestly, I tried to take my full head of hair platinum and I had a lot of breakage," she shared. "I've always wanted to look like Miley Cyrus. I've always wanted to have that pixie haircut, so I said, 'Let's just go for it.' "
"I feel like there's a new wave, a new authentic vibe coming in and I think this matches. I want to redefine what it means to be feminine," added the "Rise" hitmaker. "Look at Scarlett Johansson, who's one of the most beautiful women in the world. We have the same haircut and I saw her at an Oscars party and was like, 'I'm doing it.' You're hot, you can be hot and look great with this kind of hair. Why not?"
At the event, Perry was joined by Ed Sheeran and Fifth Harmony among other celebrities. The "Shape of You" hitmaker opted for casual look in all-black ensemble which he paired with dark sneakers, while the girl group turned heads with their dazzling appearances.
