Ice Cube Eyed to Join Animated Spider-Man Movie

The 'Ride Along' actor is reportedly courted to lend his voice to Miles Morales' father Jefferson Davis in the upcoming film.

AceShowbiz - Ice Cube is reportedly in talks for the untitled animated Spider-Man movie. According to Jeff Sneider, the rapper-turned-actor is being eyed to lend his voice to a key character in the animated superhero adaptation.

The movie is confirmed to have Miles Morales as the webslinger. He is voiced by "Community" alum Donald Glover. Rumor has it, Ice Cube is courted to voice Spidey's father Jefferson Davis, a former NYPD officer with a shady past.

The movie is scheduled for December 21, 2018 in the States. Bob Persichetti and Peter Ramsey serve as a director while Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the masterminds behind "The Lego Movie", write and co-produce the big-screen project.

The plot is still kept under tight wraps, but the animated one is expected to exist separately from the live-action "Spider-Man: Homecoming" which stars Tom Holland and hits theaters on July 07, 2017.
