Ice Cube Eyed to Join Animated Spider-Man Movie

The 'Ride Along' actor is reportedly courted to lend his voice to Miles Morales' father Jefferson Davis in the upcoming film.

AceShowbiz - %cIce Cube% is reportedly in talks for the untitled animated Spider-Man movie. According to Jeff Sneider, the rapper-turned-actor is being eyed to lend his voice to a key character in the animated superhero adaptation.

The movie is confirmed to have Miles Morales as the webslinger. He is voiced by "Community" alum %cDonald Glover%. Rumor has it, Ice Cube is courted to voice Spidey's father Jefferson Davis, a former NYPD officer with a shady past.

The movie is scheduled for December 21, 2018 in the States. Bob Persichetti and Peter Ramsey serve as a director while Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the masterminds behind "The Lego Movie", write and co-produce the big-screen project.

The plot is still kept under tight wraps, but the animated one is expected to exist separately from the live-action "Spider-Man: Homecoming" which stars %cTom Holland% and hits theaters on July 07, 2017.
