AceShowbiz - Keyshia Cole debuted a music video for "You" featuring Remy Ma and French Montana on YouTube on Monday, February 27. In the Benny Boom-directed video, Keyshia proves that she's not an easy lady to play with as she punishes her cheating boyfriend so severely.
The music video begins with two cops investigating Keyshia for her missing boyfriend. Although the R&B singer looks sad and worried, it turns out that she's the one who kidnaps her boyfriend for cheating on her with another girl. The clip later shows Keyshia torturing her boyfriend with the help of Remy and French. Keyshia even throws her boyfriend from the second floor window to the swimming pool.
Keyshia seems so mad at her boyfriend as she sings, "You just played me for the last time/ I'm done f**king with you/ Keep coming with the same lines/ Everything but the truth/ You picked the wrong one, yea yea."
Last month, Keyshia opened up about collaborating with Remy and French during an interview with Rap-Up. "That's my ace there. She's been supportive during this process and I told her I couldn't do this album without her," she said. "French is the homie so one call, he got on the record, and he did it the next day... They're both perfect for this particular song and they both thought the same."
The 35-year-old singer also revealed that her breakup with Daniel Gibson inspired her to write the track. "I've been working on this album for a minute now, before I even signed to Epic," she said, before adding, "It's just about realizing once you're done with something, it's time to move on and work on yourself and build yourself. That's the whole vibe I felt during this process."
