As a mythological dark force emerges, Danny Rand (Finn Jones) doesn't have any other choices besides embracing his destiny, to be an Iron Fist.

AceShowbiz - Netflix has released a sneak-peek video for its upcoming series, "Marvel's Iron Fist". In the featurette titled "I Am Danny", actor Finn Jones, who plays Danny Rand a.k.a. Iron Fist, offers some details about Madame Gao's role through his explanation of Danny's mindset.

Upon his return to New York after 15 years of training in K'un-Lun, the first place Danny goes to is his father's company building, only to find that his childhood friends, Joy (Jessica Stroup) and Ward Meachum (Tom Pelphrey), are now millionaires in the company. Although Danny has tried to convince them that he is their childhood friend, neither Joy nor Ward buys him and they call security to get him out of the building instead. It is also seen that Danny wants to live a normal life, abandoning his mystical duties.

However, he seemingly can't escape his destiny to be the Iron Fist. "Danny has been told his whole life that there's a mythological dark force in the world, and he didn't really believe they were real," Jones teases in the video. Shortly after, the video cuts to a shot of the "Daredevil" villain, Madame Gao (Wai Ching Ho), standing on a balcony. A voiceover, which is assumed to be Harold Meachum's (David Wenham) voice, warns the titular hero, "They are very real." The voice adds, "They've invested, Rand. There will always be forces gathering against you, disguised as a friend, slipping past you as a stranger. They are everywhere."

Fans are left wondering as to what "they" and "mythological dark force" actually refer, and even the connection to Madame Gao. Many assume that it may refer to The Hand. The Hand is a nefarious group of ninjas which has been the key in the Marvel-Netflix universe. Madame Gao has been at the center of the operation, even after the fall of Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio) on "Daredevil". The fact that Madame Gao once told Fisk that she comes from somewhere "a considerable distance further" than China, presumably referring to K'un-Lun, adds fuel to this speculation.

The video dramatically concludes with the powerful woman declaring her war with the titular hero, "This city is no place for the Iron Fist." However, Danny believes that the odd is in his favor. He says, "I have a vision of a total victory, nothing else."

Netflix also releases a new motion poster for "Iron Fist" on Twitter. The motion poster features Danny Rand standing alone with a background of somewhere resembling a Chinese town. He strikes his signature Iron Fist pose as several kung fu moves are briefly glimpsed behind him. The caption reads, "Clear your mind. Embrace your power. #IronFist"

"Iron Fist" is slated to be released on March 17 on Netflix.
