AceShowbiz - "Split" director M. Night Shyamalan takes to Twitter to tease fan about a possible "Split" sequel. The director drops a major hint that his next movie could be a follow-up to his current hit. He wrote on Saturday, January 4, "I have an 11 page outline for my next film in my bag. I can't tell you what it is, but if you've seen #Split...."

The movie, which revolves around Kevin (James McAvoy) who has 23 different personalities, surprises everyone with its twisted ending. [SPOILER ALERT!] The final scene of the movie features Bruce Willis' "Unbreakable" character David Punn, revealing "Split" connection to Shyamalan's other movie, "Unbreakable".

Shyamalan is yet to announce anything official regarding the possible "Split" sequel. However, in an interview, the director revealed his interest in making a third movie which will combine "Split" and "Unbreakable". He told Entertainment Weekly about the possible crossover, "The answer is yes. I'm just such a wimp sometimes. I don't know what's going to happen when I go off in my room, a week after this film opens, to write the script. But I'm going to start writing."

"Split" still tops North American box office in its third week by earning another $14.4 million, blocking the newcomer "Rings" from taking the No. 1 spot. The movie has grossed $85.5 million domestically and $141.9 million worldwide to date.
