The 'Passengers' actress writes on Facebook that she is saddened by Trump's controversial policy which bans Muslim refugees from entering the U.S.

AceShowbiz - Jennifer Lawrence shows her stance on President Donald Trump's controversial immigration policy. On Monday, January 30, she wrote on her Facebook page to show her sympathy for Muslim refugees and pray for the White House to get its sanity back.

The "Joy" actress wrote, "My broken heart goes out to the innocent lives of Muslim refugees that are trying to escape terror and find safety for their families." She continued, "I and millions of Americans understand that someone's race or religion should never keep them in harm's way. It should be every person's duty to help and protect anyone no matter their nationality."

Lawrence ended her post by indirectly slamming Trump as she wrote, "I pray for sanity and compassion to return to the White House."

Lawrence has been known for her vocal attitude towards Trump. Following his election win, Lawrence urged all of Trump's opponents to work harder as she wrote on a short editorial for Broadly, "Do not let this defeat you-let this enrage you! Let it motivate you! Let this be the fire you didn't have before. If you are an immigrant, if you are a person of color, if you are LGBTQ+, if you are a woman-don't be afraid, be loud!"

President Trump is under fire for his racist immigration policy. Trump signed the order on Friday, January 27, to prevent radical Islamic terrorists from entering the U.S. The policy resulted in Muslims, including those who legally lived in the U.S., being detained at airports and prevented from returning home to their families.

Lawrence was not the only celebrity to bash Trump's decision. Actor and former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger also openly criticized Trump as he told Extra that Trump's policy which bans Muslim refugees from entering the U.S. "made us look stupid."
