AceShowbiz - A new official trailer of "In Dubious Battle" has just been released for viewing pleasure. The movie marks James Franco's directorial debut and is based on John Steinbeck's novel of the same name. Franco also stars in the movie alongside Nat Wolff, Selena Gomez, Vincent D'Onofrio, Ed Harris and Robert Duvall.

The trailer offers a glimpse of the strikes organized by "the Party" activists Mac McLeod (Franco) and Jim Nolan (Wolff), whose followers are apple pickers in the 1930s California. Duvall portrays ruthless tycoon who oppresses the workers, while Gomez plays a young mother. The strikes featured in the trailer often result in chaos, such as murder and fire, but the characters keep rising and fighting for what they believe in.

"In Dubious Battle" premiered at Venice Film Festival in 2016. On January 27, a clip for the movie was also released via ET Online, showing Franco and Wolff's characters lighting sparks for revolution.

The official synopsis reads, "In the California apple country, nine hundred migratory workers rise up against the landowners after getting paid a faction of the wages they were promised. The group takes on a life of its own-stronger than its individual members and more frightening. Led by the doomed Jim Nolan (Wolff), the strike is founded on his tragic idealism-on the courage never to submit or yield."

"In Dubious Battle" is set to be released in U.S. theaters and available on VOD on February 17.
