The 'American Crime Story' star has decided to file for divorce from his wife, three years after their separation.

AceShowbiz - Cuba Gooding Jr. is putting an end to his marriage to his wife, Sara Kapfer. The "Men of Honor" actor has decided to file for divorce from his wife of 22 years, three years after their separation in 2014.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Cuba is asking for joint legal and physical custody of their 10-year-old daughter, Piper Gooding. The "Selma" actor is also willing to give spousal support to Sara.
But Cuba wants all of their income since the date Sara filed for separation, including his salary from FX's critically claimed "The People vs. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story", to remain separate assets.
Cuba and Sara, who tied the knot in 1994, was high school sweethearts. They share three children together, two of whom are no longer minors.
During an appearance on "The Steve Harvey Show" in March, Cuba insisted he and his wife were still together following their separation. "Officially I'm still married, it's just you know how some marriages go. Sometimes you take a break or two. All I'm saying is my life is what it is right now," he told Steve Harvey, "I took her to see a movie the other day. We've got kids man, we've got to keep this together."
