AceShowbiz - Pop legends Mariah Carey and Elton John raked in millions of dollar from an extravagant wedding reception of a Russian billionaire's granddaughter. Valery Kogan, who owns Moscow's Domodedovo Airport, reportedly paid more than $4 million to have Carey and John perform at the nine-hour lavish event on Saturday, January 14 at London's Landmark Hotel, where his granddaughter Irene Kogan tied the knot with Daniel Kevey.
John kicked off the nine-hour celebration with a 12-song set. The Sun reported that the 19-year-old bride wept with joy on her hubby's shoulder on the dance floor when the legend dedicated his hit "Tiny Dancer" to her. "This is for Irene. She's not that tiny, but I know she's a really good dancer because I can see her down there," John said. He is said to rake in over 1 million pounds, from the teen wedding.
Donning a silver thigh-high dress with plunging neckline, Carey performed some of her hits like "My All" and "It's Like That". The blonde bride was also seen dancing alongside Carey on stage. In a clip captured by a guest, Mimi spent her time gushing over the bride before she performed her 2005 love ballad "We Belong Together" to the newlyweds. The "Obsessed" songbird is said to have been paid 2.5 million pounds to perform at the ceremony.
There were also performances from some Russian stars, before Grammy award-winning DJ Mark Ronson ended the night with a DJ set. Ronson performed his smash hit "Uptown Funk" featuring Bruno Mars while Kogan was seen dancing along to the boogie track.
Also in attendance was actor Antonio Banderas, who gave the newly married couple some advice. "Have forgiveness for every mistake," he said in an Instagram video captured by a guest.
