The 'Fifty Shades of Grey' star shares her thoughts on sex, BDSM, nude scenes and talks about her love life in a new interview.

AceShowbiz - As her new movie "Fifty Shades Darker" release date is approaching, Dakota Johnson graces the cover of Vogue magazine for its February issue. The actress, who reprises her role as Anastasia Steel, reveals her interesting and yet provocative thoughts about sex, nudity in movies and what she likes in BDSM in addition to talking about her love life.

The "How to Be Single" star tells Vogue, "S**t happens," referring to her relationship with Matthew Hitt, a model as well as a lead singer of the band Drowners, which ended last spring. She opens up, "I think I'm a little bit heartbroken all the time, even when I'm in a happy relationship. I don't do casual very well, and my feelings, even the good ones, get so intense that they hurt."

Trying to make light of the situation, the "Chloe and Theo" actress jokingly adds, "Can we say that I'm taking this time to explore my bisexuality? Or that I have given myself to the Lord following the release of my sexually explicit trifecta of films?"

The "A Bigger Splash" star also confesses that doing nude scenes is "really interesting for an actor." She reveals, "Jamie [Dornan] and I worked so incredibly closely for so long. There were no inhibitions, and it was very honest, very trusting. But I mean, what a gamble! What if he had turned out to be a total d**k? There's no makeup. There are no clothes to tell you a bit about the story. There's no jewelry to give you a clue about social status. So it becomes purely about the performance."

She says that she finds it necessary for an actor to bare his/her naked body when doing a sex scene. "Maybe I have more of a European mind-set about these things. I don't want to see someone wearing a bra and underwear in a sex." She further adds, "Let's be honest about it. People are naked when they f**k."

However, she realizes that everyone is aging and that may stop her from baring her boobs in movies. "Will I stop doing nude scenes when my boobs start sagging? I don't know," she contemplates.

Talking about her "Fifty Shades of Grey" character Ana, she describes her as a "bada**," "hyperintelligent and hypersexual," "very tough" and yet "very loving" woman. The 27-year-old actress tells the magazine, "I've been in a phase of my life where I'm fascinated by young women coming to terms with their sexuality. I guess, by proxy, I have been experiencing that in my own life, and it's very interesting to me."

To be able to portray Ana's complex sexual life with Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan), Johnson grows an interest in BDSM. She says, "First of all, there are some very chic avenues in BDSM." She continues, "It can be very beautiful and tasteful, and the materials can be luxurious. It's not like being on Hollywood Boulevard and walking by a ball-gag store. But what I admire is the bravery and the honesty of people who get down with it, who aren't afraid to say that they need something a bit more in order to get off. America is still so sexually oppressed. Isn't God's gift to humans the orgasm?" She also shares a fun fact that "a woman has the same number of nerve endings in her clitoris as a man does in his entire penis."

"Fifty Shades Darker" will hit U.S. theaters on February 10. Directed by James Foley, the movie will feature returning actors including Marcia Gay Harden, Jennifer Ehle, Luke Grimes, Rita Ora, Victor Rasuk, Eloise Mumford and Max Martini. Kim Basinger, Eric Johnson and Hugh Dancy will join the cast.
