The 49-year-old actor has an explanation from his 'perspective' for what happened on Saturday night, January 7 when he was attacked during a dinner with his pals at Catch Restaurant.

AceShowbiz - Jamie Foxx was having a dinner with some pals at Catch Restaurant in L.A. on Saturday, January 7 when another group of diners approached his table and complained to them for being too loud. That didn't go over so well as things allegedly turned violent. Now the actor has given an explanation for what happened that night from his "perspective."

Jamie took to Instagram on Monday, January 9 to share a video of him speaking out about the assault. "F**k," he said to the camera while holding a white towel to cover his eye. "The word is out, man. I know y'all heard about this s**t and saw some videos. I just want to address what happened on Saturday from my perspective."

"All I was trying to do was keep my eye on things," he added, before removing the towel to show his crossed eye. "I'm just f**king with y'all, man. Everybody's good," he continued. "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" actor then revealed that he's kidding, saying, "2017, we don't want no violence. We don't want to get hurt and we don't want nobody hurt."

"But if you want to see my whoop some a**, you know what you can do," he continued. "Come check me. Friday the thirteenth. 'Sleepless'," he said, promoting his new action thriller movie. He then turned the camera to a poster of his upcoming movie. "Come see your boy kick some a** for real," he added.
