Drake and Lil Wayne Tie for Most Hot 100 Hits Among Soloists

The 'Hotline Bling' hitmaker ties with the 'Sucker for Pain' rapper for the most songs from a solo act to hit the Billboard Hot 100 chart in its 58-year history.

AceShowbiz - Drake has tied Lil Wayne's Billboard Hot 100 record. Drizzy's latest collaboration with Gucci Mane "Both" debuted at No. 41 on Hot 100 chart this week, marking his 132nd cut to hit the chart. With the bow, he ties Weezy for the most Hot 100 appearances among soloists in its 58-year history.

Drizzy first hit the Hot 100 on May 23, 2009 with his song "Best I Ever Had". He has since earned 18 top 10s, including three No. 1s: as featured on Rihanna's "What's My Name?" and "Work" as well as his own "One Dance" featuring WizKid and Kyla. Weezy, meanwhile, has tallied 19 top 10s and two No. 1s, including "Lollipop" featuring Static Major and as featured on Jay Sean's "Down".

Drizzy and Weezy rank below the cast of hit musical series "Glee", which has an accumulation of 207 hits on the charts. Elvis Presley lands at No. 4 with 108 hits, while James Brown is placed at No. 5 with 91 hits.

Other artists in the top 10 of the list are Jay-Z (86), Chris Brown (82), Kanye West (80), Ray Charles (75) Aretha Franklin (73), The Beatles (71). Nicki Minaj, meanwhile, ties Taylor Swift with 70 hits each.
