Another creepy image was released on the day before. Also captioned with a similarly cryptic number, the image showed a familiar corridor. The architecture was said to be the work of the Engineers, the mysterious creatures who were presumably created by both the human race and the infamous Xenomorphs.

Directed by Ridley Scott, "Alien: Covenant" is coming to U.S. theaters on May 19, 2017. It sees the return of Michael Fassbender as android David and Noomi Rapace as Elizabeth Shaw. Katherine Waterston will portray the lead character, Daniels. It's supported by James Franco, Demian Bichir, Danny McBride, Billy Crudup, Jussie Smollett and Carmen Ejogo.
Written by Jack Paglen and Michael Green, the movie is set ten years after the event of "Prometheus". It follows a colony ship bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy. The crew discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world - whose sole inhabitant is the "synthetic" David, survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.
