AceShowbiz - Skylar Astin has revealed whether the Treblemakers will return to "Pitch Perfect 3". Unfortunately, the 29-year-old actor took to Twitter on Thursday, December 15 to confirm that the all-boy a cappella group won't appear in the third installment of the "Pitch Perfect" movie series.

"Yes. As of now, the Trebles and I won't be in the third 'Pitch Perfect' movie," the Jesse Swanson depicter wrote. "They seem to be taking the story in a different direction," he continued, adding a waving hand sign emoji.

Universal Pictures has yet to reveal the official cast list. Recently, "Orange Is the New Black" star Ruby Rose was reported to be in negotiations to join the returning cast members, including Elizabeth Banks, Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson and Brittany Snow who will reprise their respective roles.

The movie is set for a December 22, 2017 release in U.S. theaters. Trish Sie will direct the movie from a script written by Kay Cannon, with additional drafts from Mike White and Dana Fox. Banks, who directed "Pitch Perfect 2", is attached as a producer along with Brownstone Productions' Max Handelman and Gold Circle Entertainment's Paul Brooks.
