AceShowbiz - There is a new Drake and Gucci Mane collaboration on the way. Gucci teases their new collab titled "Both" on Instagram by sharing its cover art. It's still unknown whether "Both" is a single or a project.
The cover art shows Drake and Gucci's names as well as logos of their labels, OVO Sound and 1017 Records.
DJ Khaled previously mentioned Drake and Gucci's collaboration while talking about the latter's upcoming album "The Return of East Atlanta Santa" on his "We the Best" radio. He wrote, "Oh did I mention @laflare1017 also has a new rec wit @champagnepapi tune in tonight ! #wethebestradio on @applemusic #beats1 special edition of #wethebestradio tonight !!"
Earlier this year, Gucci confirmed his album collaboration with Drake "6'ers" was happening. They have completed two tracks for the record.
Gucci and Drake first teamed up for the song "Back on Road" after the former's release from prison. According to longtime Gucci collaborator Zaytoven, the duo quickly started thinking about a full project. "Gucci and Drake started talking, and you know how Gucci is," Zaytoven said, " 'Hey man, we gotta do a tape together. We gotta do something together.' And Drake like, 'Bet. We gotta do it.' Right then, they started thinking about a name and then Drake said, I think he said, 'We oughta call it The 6'ers' or something like that because I guess where he's from, they call it the 6 and Gucci Mane is from Zone 6. Then we just ran with it."
