Taylor Swift and Zayn Malik Team Up for 'Fifty Shades Darker' Song 'I Don't Wanna Live Forever'

The surprise collaboration, written by Taylor, Bleachers' Jack Antonoff and Sam Dew, has shot to No. 1 on iTunes songs chart after it's released on Thursday night.

AceShowbiz - We don't have to wait until 2017 to get new music from %cTaylor Swift%. The country-turned-pop-superstar has surprised her fans with a brand new song titled "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" which she recorded in collaboration with %cZayn Malik% for the "Fifty Shades Darker" soundtrack.

On Thursday night, December 8, Taylor shared the artwork and the snippet of the track on her social media accounts. Zayn helped promote the song by posting on his own Instagram page a picture of him holding Taylor's cat. "#idontwannaliveforever," he captioned it.

The song has been made available on iTunes and has since risen to the top spot of the iTunes chart. "Well that escalated quickly," Taylor commented on the song's performance.

Taylor's close friend %cLena Dunham% also took to social media to express her excitement about the song's release. She revealed that her boyfriend %cJack Antonoff% co-wrote the song with Sam Dew and Taylor. "Holy motherf**king s**t!!! My boyfriend is a genius and he wrote the new single from Fifty Shades Darker with Sam Dew and my girl @taylorswift (who has never sounded more sultry)," she wrote. "And then there's @zayn blowing up my whole heart. SO. DAMN. PROUD of @jackantonoff. On iTunes now I just bought itttttttt."

Zayn's girlfriend %cGigi Hadid% took to Twitter to show that she already purchased the song.

A sequel to "Fifty Shades of Grey", "Fifty Shades Darker" follows Christian who wrestles with his inner demons, while Anastasia must confront the anger and envy of the women who came before her. %cDakota Johnson% and %cJamie Dornan% reprise their roles as Ana and Christian respectively. The R-rated movie is set to hit U.S. theaters on February 10, 2017.
