The 'Like a Virgin' hitmaker sang a slowed-down version of Spears' 2003 hit while images of the President-elect were projected onto a huge screen behind her.

AceShowbiz - Madonna hosted an auction and concert at Miami's Art Basel on Friday night, December 2. Billed as "Night of Art, Mischief & Music", the event, which streamed live on Facebook, featured a unique Madonna performance, during which she covered Britney Spears' hit single "Toxic".

Donning a pink wig and a fluffy pink-and-white dress, the 58-year-old singer sang a slowed-down rendition of "Toxic" while she sat on a chair in the middle of the stage. She sang, "You know that you're toxic," while images of the President-elect Donald Trump and his quotes were projected behind her. She apparently took a shot at Trump and suggested that he was "toxic".

During the event, the "Like a Virgin" hitmaker made a number of provocative comments. She revealed that she had once done a photo shoot in Trump's bed for Versace campaign. She said, "Now don't go jumping to conclusions because he wasn't in that bed." She continued, "I just want to mention that his sheets were not 100 percent Egyptian cotton... Here's one thing I'm sure of. They won't be Egyptian cotton because we all know how he feels about Muslims, don't we?"

In addition to "Toxic", the pop star performed her tracks "Beautiful Stranger", "Easy Ride", "American Life", "I'm So Stupid" and "Like It or Not". She also teamed up with Ariana Grande to perform "Music" off her eighth studio album of the same name.

Madonna raised more than $7.5 million at the Friday show by selling memorabilia and art from her private collection to help children in the African nation. Among the items receiving the biggest bids were three Herb Ritts-shot photos from Madonna and Sean Penn's wedding, which ultimately went for $230,000. Other items included costume from Madonna's "Rebel Heart Tour", which drew a top bid of $160,000, and a Bulgari Serpenti Diamond white-gold necklace, which sold for $180,000.

The star-studded event was attended by many celebrities including Leonardo DiCaprio, Brett Ratner, Chris Rock, RZA and Paris Hilton.
