The 'I Left My Heart in San Francisco' hitmaker was saved by the pink Muppet when he almost fell off their float.

AceShowbiz - The Muppets' Miss Piggy saved Tony Bennett at Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday, November 24. Piggy, who was standing right next to Bennett, saved the jazz legend from falling off their float during the annual event.

Bennett had just finished a duet of "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town" with Piggy when their parade float started moving again. The 90-year-old singer lost his balance when their float suddenly lurched forward. He grasped at a replica toy block on his right, while Piggy caught and steadied him on his left.

Bennett's representative Sylvia Weiner said the singer is fine after the little incident. "Tony is great and thanks the crowd along the parade route for their warmth and he wishes everyone a very happy Thanksgiving," she said.

Miss Piggy was one of The Muppets, including Kermit the Frog, who appeared to help celebrate the parade. An estimated 3.5 million people gathered on the street for the 90th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York.

One of the parade's announcers, Matt Lauer, didn't notice the near fall or just skipped over it. Lauer just plugged Bennett's upcoming NBC special instead. Some audiences who noticed it then shared their reactions on Twitter. "I have never seen a more amazing act of puppetry than Miss Piggy somehow catching a falling Tony Bennett," a fan wrote. Another user named Gary Pochron said, "Miss Piggy saving Tony Bennett is the best thing happen in 2016."
