AceShowbiz - Lemony Snicket, the pen name of author Daniel Handler, has revealed the first look at two characters on Netflix's "A Series of Unfortunate Events". They are Justice Strauss, portrayed by Joan Cusack, and Dr. Georgina Orwell, who is played by Catherine O'hara.

Justice Strauss is Olaf's neighbor. The character debuts in the first book of Snicket's "A Series of Unfortunate Events", "The Bad Beginning", and instantly becomes a favorite of young Violet, Klaus and Sunny Baudelaire.

Meanwhile, Dr. Orwell does more harm than good to the Baudelaire orphans. The character debuts in the fourth book "The Miserable Mill". She has several tricks up her sleeve, even hypnotizing one of the children to aid in Olaf's endeavor.

Netflix's "A Series of Unfortunate Events" recounts the tragic tale of the Baudelaire orphans - Violet, Klaus and Sunny - whose evil guardian Count Olaf will stop at nothing to get his hands on their inheritance. The siblings must outsmart Olaf at every turn, foiling his many devious plans and disguises, in order to discover clues to their parents' mysterious death.

The eight-episode series is a Netflix original production, executive produced by Emmy Award winner Barry Sonnenfeld and Daniel Handler. The series stars Neil Patrick Harris as Count Olaf, Patrick Warburton as Lemony Snicket, Malina Weissmann as Violet Baudelaire and Louis Hynes as Klaus Baudelaire and many others.

The series premieres January 13, 2017 on Netflix.
