A new trailer for the Ang Lee-directed movie has arrived, showing the flashback sequences from the war days of 19-year-old private Billy Lynn (Joe Alwyn).

AceShowbiz - Sony has released a new trailer for Oscar winner Ang Lee's ambitious project "Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk", a day after its screening and Q&A with the helmer and producer Marc Platt at The Vine Theatre in L.A. It highlights the flashback sequences from the war days of 19-year-old private Billy Lynn, who is portrayed by newcomer Joe Alwyn.

"I did what I have to do," the young private says in the trailer. "For the first time in my life I feel close to something, bigger than myself." The almost-2-minute video also offers new look at Vin Diesel as Sergeant Shroom in the war scenes, as well as Kristen Stewart, who plays Billy's sister Katherine.

During the Q&A session on Wednesday, October 26, Lee talked about the technology he used in making the film. "This technology exposes what we don't know," he said. "I know I'm not good enough for this and I'm two years ahead of the audience. You all are just getting started. There is no reference here so I call it a baby. And the technology is still pretty clumsy. It's very inconvenient."

"Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk" follows the young titular private who is brought home for a victory tour after a harrowing Iraq battle. Through flashbacks, the film shows what really happened to his squad - contrasting the realities of war with America's perceptions.

Also starring Chris Tucker, Garrett Hedlund and Steve Martin, the movie arrives in select theaters in the U.S. on Veterans Day, November 11, before opening wide on November 18.
